March 2006

    R.I.D.E.S. wins "Crossings Cares Award". Crossings, a Christian Book Club selected R.I.D.E.S. to receive one of the annual "Cares Awards". The awards carries a cash prize and R.I.D.E.S. will be featured in the April issue of the Crossings magazine. This is a national company and will increase R.I.D.E.S. exposure. The aware focuses on unique ministries that serve communities.

February 2006

    R.I.D.E.S. is halfway through completing a year as a grantee for the Transform Grant Program. The dedicated funds have been used to purchase therapy equipment, train volunteers and provide a manual for each one, purchase a laptop computer to use for education and community outreach, and send 3 volunteers through Instructor Certification. A new brochure will be produced soon.
    New volunteers have been trained. Since October 2005, we have trained 17 new volunteers. We are also excited about the 13 volunteers that come form RAPCON and sq. at CAFB. (Columbus Air Force Base)
